{More Button Bits}

I made another card using buttons. I have thoroughly enjoyed the rustic cardstock from Papertrey Ink (they have white and cream)---it just makes a project look so "homespun"---

This is an odd color combo---but I think it looks OK. I used Sweet Blush cardstock for my base and added a strip of Bitty Box paper in Summer Sunrise. I wanted to use a strip of Hibiscus Burst, but they don't make that color in this paper pack, so I used this instead. I decided to use the thread on the buttons to tie it all in. For the image, I stamped the stems and leaves from Everyday Button Bits in New Leaf and then embossed and cut it with a Labels One die. I added buttons in Sweet Blush and Hibiscus Burst and threaded them with some DMC floss. I attached them with glue dots. Finally, I stamped the sentiment and added some satin ribbon in Hibiscus Burst. I popped the image up on some foam tape for some dimension.

Well, I start back to work on Monday---it's always a crazy week---the work week before school, so I don't know how much I'll get to post. Once things slow down, I hope to be back to regular posts!

Thanks for stopping by--it's a thrill for me when I know you've been here---yes, I'm pitiful, I know~

I'm thinking of all you mama's sending your babies off to school this August---you will survive!!! Then you'll do it again next year, and the next and in between you'll have amazing conversations with said child and realize "I did OK---she really turned out great." Then you'll get on your knees and thank the Lord for his grace in your life in allowing this amazing young woman to be part of your family, because you know that any good that has happened in your life or hers is all because of HIM---and then you'll cry....but, that's just normal around here.

I love this card. Of course, I love buttons.

And. . .aren't you the wise old sage this year. I'll be calling you in 10 days and you can pick me up off the floor because that's where I'll be--blubbering. You'll recognize me--you've seen me that way before.

wow! these cards are adorable! when did you start this? i am soooo glad you found our blog! your girls are so beautiful- still and I can't believe how big J is getting! Waco is Wacko! Last summer was record breaking hot and one day I saw a NAKED guy walking down the street and I didn't even care because it was THAT hot outside. We have found a wonderful church home. We have also learned that it takes a long time to call a place home but at the same time you can make anywhere home... try putting that on a card :)
