{Eve Taylor Guy}

She's HERE!!! This post will be short....I'll do a proper one tomorrow! I'll load pictures on here from my camera tomorrow. These are some I took with my phone so I could send them quickly to Hannah in South Africa.
Eve Taylor Guy was born at 4:27pm on February 28th. She weighed 7 lbs. 1 oz, was 20.5" long. Caitlin did GREAT!!! She only labored (after the pitocin kicked in) a little over 4 hours! (don't hate)

{Hospital Baby Favors}

Oh my---I can't believe it's been so long since I've posted! I have had so many things to post---I just haven't gotten them on here! AGH---the story of my life!

I made some favors to take to the hospital when this sweet grandbaby is born. Every baby should be celebrated with chocolate, right? The truth is, I love making little gifts to give out to people and this is a WONDERFUL excuse to make some!

I found Hershey bars for fifty cents each, so I bought a box and covered them with patterned paper. I saw some on this post at Michelle Wooderson's blog. These are so simple---if I hadn't been making so many, I could have finished them in just an hour or two. Since we don't know the name of this blessed little one, I just stamped the "Baby Makes Three" from Bitty Baby Blessings on the tag so they can be ready for the hospital. I used two different paper lines from Papertrey Ink---Pink Patterns & Bitty Baby Blessings. Both of these are so perfect for baby things. I used Berry Sorbet paper to accent the pink ones and colored in a little elephant with grey copics. The elephant is from the Tiny Treats: Birthday set. I love these Tiny Treats sets----so sweet for little treats. Joshua is about to be too old for them, but, HEY, I'M HAVING A GRANDBABY!!! I'll be able to make these for YEARS! ; D
I used Summer Sunrise and the Marvy Scalloped Circle punch for the tag here and colored the elephant with the Plum Pudding Copic trio. I'm not really a purple girl, but it worked with the paper!

I love how quick and fun these were. Now, if I can just get that baby to come see us! Caitlin will be induced later this week if she doesn't show up before then! I promise some sweet pictures and news right here! Thanks for checking in today---and yes, I'm keeping up with Project Life and absolutely loving it---I just need to photograph it---maybe today!

{PTI Anniversary Tag}

I'm back with another Papertrey post---those of you who are here for my family posts, just forgive me and move on!

Today's post on Nichole's blog offers a free download of 9 different tags that can be used on a project. The prize today would be to help Nichole design a stamp set---eek! That would just scare me to death, but I did love the tags, so I decided to use Lisa Johnson's tag and make a card anyway. Since I'm in the middle of my Valentine's cards, this was perfect for me.

I printed my tags on Kraft cardstock and used that as my card base as well. I colored the tag with Copic markers in PTI's colors. I added a piece of Pure Poppy and ran it through the Linen & Canvas Impression plate. I cut a Mat Stack 5  mat in Rustic Cream cardstock and added my tag. I finished it off with some ribbon and tied on a button with twine....surprisingly, this went so fast! I used a layout I had seen on Maile Belles' blog this week.

Thanks for stopping by today---I hope your weekend was SUPER----snort! Card details are below!

You have to go look at all their pretty stuff! Anyway, Nichole is giving away EVERYTHING used in all these projects----over $700 of Papertrey products---OH MY GOODNESS!

That's why I'm posting (reposting, really) this project from August of 2010.

I made these tins for my nephews and filled them with candy---I had SUCH fun making them and I truly loved them! I even made more of them for everyone in my building at work---but my camera had died by that point and I didn't get any pictures! Take a look at these---they were so easy with all the innovative products that PTI makes---and I'm not just saying that---if you have been a visitor to my site very often, you have seen their products---I LOVE THEM!
So, enjoy a look back---and thanks for visiting!!!

{The Valentine Project}

Since it's the LOVE MONTH I wanted to do something to remind Joshua how much I love him---little things. I thought about doing something along the lines of what I do for Advent---a little gift everyday, but I don't have the creativity in me right now---SO, I just decided to make notes to give Joshua everyday. WORDS are such a gift---and I thought I'd gift him with an encouraging word each day until Valentines. I saw these printables that I could purchase, but decided I have MORE than enough stuff here already to make little Valentine notes for him. I started with random papers from my stash and used my Lunchbox Note die to cut out 84 notes-----oh, did I not mention that I made some for two friends to give to their kids during these 14 days? These are the things I miss doing now that I'm working more---I wish I had done more of this for my girls when they were little---OH, I'll be a good grandmother! ;D

Anyway, I cut them out and then put a piece of paper in them to write on. I really wanted to stamp little Valentine's things and attach them to the front, but I just didn't have the time---and Joshua won't care. SOOOO, today, I put one in his lunchbox---and when he got home I was unloading said lunchbox and the note was there. When I asked him if he read it he replied, "Yeah, I read it at snack, and then again at lunch". MELT!! You know, you don't have to have a cute note to write something sweet to your child---just put it on a sticky note, a craft stick, a piece of newsprint in red sharpie with a heart on it---they don't care! And we shouldn't either.

SOOO if you are a stamper---or if you want to be a stamper, or if you KNOW a stamper---you MUST go to this blog now---really, click on over there, I'll wait. Papertrey Ink is having their 4th anniversary this month. This is my FAVORITE stamping company---it's just about my ONLY stamping company. Nicole Heady is the creative genius behind the company and there are always so many give aways and exciting things going on in February Put her blog in your Reader right now----at least for the next 15 days---it is TOTALLY worth it! You'll love what she does! OK, there's my shameless plug---well, there's truly NO SHAME in it, because except for my debit card being used there on a regular basis, they have no idea who I am! SO RUN OVER THERE and see what's up---oh, and if you win some big prize---you MUST TELL ME---and maybe share!!!

Thanks for stopping by today~
What are your Valentines plans?
